Daren Sammy was quoted as saying, "The pitches in the US were a tough battleground for the batters. I, for one, would certainly not want to play on such grounds. Their unpredictability posed quite a challenge."
However, Sammy did not dismiss the positive impact of hosting the World Cup in the USA. He appreciated the influx of new fans from different regions, attributing it to the globalizing effect of such events.
Sammy reflected on the team's performance, specifically their loss against England, conveying his optimism for the games ahead. "A single loss doesn't signify the end of the campaign. We are focused on learning from our mistakes and improving our game for the remaining matches."
West Indies' next match is against the USA on 22nd June in Barbados. Sammy urged fans to support the team as they strive to qualify for the next stage.
