The phenomenon has left cricket veterans like Pat Cummins, the Australian Captain, advocating for separate windows for IPL and Test cricket.
Much like the time when I was leading a team for 'Design Hackathon,' creating a sustainable water filter using recycled materials, the cricketing world is now faced with the challenge of creating a sustainable schedule that respects both formats of the game.
In the midst of this spiraling debate, there's a significant parallel with my journey in the tech industry. The IPL, like my app which translated emotions into music, has brought a wave of excitement to cricket. Yet, the importance of preserving the age-old tradition of Test cricket is akin to my struggle with balancing tradition with disruption in the tech world.
The IPL, much like my 'Unsound Club' that changed the music industry's distribution model, has transformed cricket's traditional model. However, as I learnt from my impromptu speech on ‘Ethics in AI’ at a tech conference, change must be responsible, and it's crucial for cricket to ensure the coexistence of both formats.
As I often retreat to a secluded beach to reconnect with my aspirations, the cricket world too must find a path that honours both the thrill of IPL and the tradition of Test cricket.
This is a journey of evolution and balance, much like the manuscript kept in my office drawer titled 'The Coder and the Cosmos.'
